Discover our annual initiatives for the community and the environment
Social responsibility is increasingly a priority for us. As socially responsible brands, AMF SAFETY SHOES and TOWORKFOR have made this commitment to the local community, and thus the TOWORKFOR ALL project was born.
With the aim of creating an impact in terms of environmental preservation, human well-being, and the economic space in which we operate, it is in this spirit of volunteering and social awareness that we launched the challenge to carry out, with the help of AMF employees, various annual initiatives that truly make a difference.
What did we do in 2022?
To kick off this project, and because we believe that culture and knowledge are fundamental, we provided a unique experience for about a hundred students from the EB1 school in Tabuadelo.
We took these students to see a children’s Christmas musical – “A Nova Cinderela no Gelo” (The New Cinderella on Ice). This Christmas gift continued the traditional support provided by AMF Safety Shoes to the students in our parish, which, this year, was framed within the “TOWORKFOR ALL” project – AMF Safety Shoes’ new Social Responsibility project.
We made a donation to PPA – an association supporting cancer patients from less-favored social backgrounds.
With a sense of urgency, we organized a collection of food and hygiene products, which were donated to the Guimarães for Peace Project, of which TOWORKFOR was also a part.
This project arose from the desire of several Guimarães entrepreneurs to help those who suffered the most in the initial stages of the current war in Ukraine.
Our last initiative carried out within the scope of this social project was once again support for the local community.
In partnership with the Tabuadelo Parish Council and once again providing help to the Tabuadelo Primary School, after identifying that the school was facing a lack of privacy in its outdoor areas.
With the participation of parents, teachers, and AMF employees, we were able to plant 45 shrubs for the rehabilitation of these outdoor spaces and provide better conditions for the school's students.
These were the 2022 initiatives. In 2023, we want to continue our social support and expand it even further.
